The one I know would disagree with you, as you well know. He could give you a long discourse on the value of planners... and where we would be without them.

Well they would, wouldn't they. They're an opinionated bunch. A friend of mine is a town planner, although he's really a geographer. I'm sure he'd agree with me .... :-)

Yes, I was walking in the city once and couldn't remember whether Wakefield street was north of me or south of where I was, so rang him on my mobile and none of the town planners new. Adelaide is a small city.
