Character name: May Aubergine Dessler.
Gender: Female.
Age: Eighteen.
Specialty: A spectacularly useless magic -- the ability to see a person's cause of death, both before and after it's happened. (This second bit likely only counts bodies, not Rochelle and Adrien.)
Skill level: May is new. May is also foolish, and the only reason that she ever got to actually get into THEY in the first place is because of Pae and Yaz who, one time when in New York, mistakenly left a server access code lying around a mostly abandoned hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Where, a month later, May found it swept into a corner on the floor, and got her next-door neighbor the techie friend to code it into the motherboard of her old Palm Pilot. Instant handheld!
Basic personality: She's sarcastic and snarky sometimes, and incredibly sweet other times. May, oddly enough, is a Perfectly Average Girl. The only things that are different about her and her schoolmates are the fact that her hair is not 'prematurely grey' or dyed, but naturally that shade, ever since she was about three weeks old and it grew in that way; and the magic that came from some sort of mutation of her biological father's.
She doesn't know that, and very rarely even speaks of it. The only people who know about the magic at all are her closest friends and her parents ... and while her friends used to call her 'Graveling,' she's been trying to get them to stop.
