Weather or Not
Well, today is gloomy with icy rain and falling temperatures...Thanks to the brief thaw over last weekend, most of the snow piles that have accumulated since mid-January have melted (and seeped into the basement, oh Joy); I had a slight hope that once the snow disappeared, I might find the PCH package that was supposedly delivered on January 15th ( Read more... ) -

I Keep Thinking that December is Further Along than it Really Is!

Wow, last week was great! Three of my long-time friends from LJ turned up suddenly; I'm sorry that the recent Tumblr problems seem to be the catalyst, but I can't help being glad.

Mid-June Check-in
Well, here we are -- tomorrow is officially the 1st day of Summer..... but it has already been both wretchedly hot, and rainy.... and the Hispanic Americans in our neighborhood have ALREADY started with the firecrackers and fireworks.... Not Just the State, but the County is Out to get Us....
#1 - On my Jury Duty summons it claimed that we would be paid $50 compensation for our first day, $35 for any subsequent days (up to a week). During the orientation, the judge apologized; apparently after the notices went out the State legislature decided that wasn't financially possible, so knocked it down to $10 plus mileage. Damn. Dare I say it? I think Spring is FINALLY Here!!!
I am SO tired of being cold. I am also SO tired of living frugally.
