[It's fortunate for Poniko that she's already moved away from the door into the front hall proper, where it's lighter.

She turns back around as the door slams shut again, looking at the girl against the wall and trying to steady her breathing.]

[Although her voice shakes a little, she doesn't sound at all meek, and probably not all that apologetic, either.
