"Ellie?" she said. "Are you there?"

"I'm here," Ellie called. She was sitting on her bed leafing though a magazine. "The door's open!"

Jennifer entered, shutting the door behind her. She waved. "Hey you," she said, smiling happily. "I totally suck and haven't kept you up to date on me."

"Hey Jen," Ellie greeted, grinning. "I've been just as bad about not keeping you up to date on me. How are things?"
