yeah, I should be weaving instead of posting about it... but my shoulders need a break.

didn't have enough of one color of gold/yellow yard to do this project and Michaels didn't have anything suitable in wool... a metric crap tonne of stuff in acrylic though *hurks*

so I picked up a ball of white...

Busy girl! I haven't tried dyeing with fustic. I am need for a really clear yellow I can overdye with indigo for a bright green like Osage Orange or weld. Haven't gotten to the point of ordering any though.

fustic isn't period from what I can tell... weld gives me paler yellow on silk but is quite vibrant on wool... once I get a woad vat going there will be much blue in my future!

I have been admiring your swift/skeiner. Mine is a cheap little plastic umbrella type and difficult to turn.
