[Well, after Presea had seen a few people singing over the journals, and especially after talking to Mrs. Brisby a few days ago, Presea decides it's high time she joined the cool people and sang something over the journals as well. For her daddy to hear. Now, even though all of her logical side was blaring loudly the improbability of that ever ( Read more... )

Others sing. ...Common occurrence. [And, just to be kind of polite.] Thank you.

I'd say it's only a common occurrence if you have a singing voice. I don't think I could do a song like that justice.

Mommy taught me. ...Song for Alicia and daddy. [Presea pauses while she contemplates just why she's telling this nameless woman's voice this. It wasn't any of her business, really, but Presea was...lonely? Depressed? Bored? No, surely not. Just sick. That's why she felt funny.] Someone said a song would reach daddy.

...Probability low.

Presea... [She's not sure what she can say. Her voice has about the same sentiment as if she'd just wordlessly hugged the girl, but of course, they're not in the same place so she can't.]

[Presea hears the voice, and the quiet sentiment laced within. Among the very few people Presea spoke to here in Luceti, she felt a little more calm around Martel. Perhaps that is why she answers honestly.]

...Mommy's lullaby.

...If you like. House 19. I can come instead. [Since Kratos isn't exactly here to ask permission if she can come over or not. Plus, Presea kind of wants to get out, too.]

[Kratos hears that on the battlefield after he kept his journal open. And he keeps it open and hanging on his belt even as he flies away from a third party member who insists on chasing him down. He does shut it briefly, if only to cast a spell of Judgment on his assailant and thus be rid of him... But once he lands on the ground and takes his journal again, he opens it to hear the last part of the song, and the silent question to the heavens.

He won't say a word. But now he's more determined than ever to find a way to get her soul back.]
