Twelth Strike - [Action]

[It's been a long time since Presea returned from her kidnapping, in a rather poor condition. She'd been resting, and recovering for a long time, her Cruxis Crystal having taken a great deal of time to fix itself. But now, the girl has finally awakened, but not without her "recovery" having taken a toll on her body ( Read more... )

[Well, if in order to get at those trees, Presea is near the edge of the forest, Ginko might come across her. And ask himself several questions. Questions like,

......why is there a small girl with a large axe?

What is that crystalline growth?

More importantly, what is she going to do with the axe?

So he'll stare and follow a few paces.]

[She sees you there, Ginko, but doesn't really note your presence much. She just continues on her way. And need you really ask yourself that last question? What do most people with axes go into a forest to do?

Presea hears the footsteps behind her and would frown if she had the heart to, but only goes on. Keep your distance man, she's on high alert now, and knows how to swing that axe around like a pro. For now, though, she's just looking around at the different trees with an expressionless face.]

[Murder. Ornamentation.

He wouldn't put any shade of crazy past a citizen of Luceti.

But for now, he'll just baaaarely keep his distance-- not that the man has the slightest feel of threat about him. If it were possible to bowl your enemies over with zen the way swordsman whip around their fighting spirits, Ginko would fall into that category.

And his face isn't quite so expressionless. It's more of a "oh please tell me you're not here to commit wanton natural destruction" sort of look. Shortly followed by a ]

Oi.

[...Not today. Today, Presea just intends to cut down a tree.

Presea can feel his presence, but because of the low threat he poses, she doesn't attack. Yet. Just make sure you stay out of striking distance, Ginko. She's still on guard, just in case, and isn't very trusting. Presea turns when she;s addressed, but doesn't say anything. She's just giving him her usual, dull, emotionless face. Yes?]

[Regal damn near drops the bag of groceries he's carrying when he gets a glimpse of Presea in this state. Unlike most of the other residents, he knows exactly what it means, and knows that it does not bode well at all.]

That crystallization... it can't be...

[Hi, Regal. Presea doesn't spot you - well, she does, but she doesn't care enough to stop - and just continues on her merry way. La, la, la walking~]

Presea, wait!

[And jogging over to get a better look now. Once he gets closer, his frown deepens.]

How long has this been going on?

[Oh, hey, this one actually used her name. Presea halts and turns, looking up at Regal. She glances where he was and spots the grotesque looking crystallization on her shoulder.]

...Today. Awoke. There.

[Meaning it was there when she woke up.]

[Ethan's just passing by, but the pink hair draws his attention, and he immediately spots the crystallization on her right side. The first thing he thinks is 'biorite', even though there's no similarity except for the appearance, but he approaches her regardless. Is this what happens to people in Luceti?]

Are you all right? [A little awkward -- he doesn't know her, after all.]

[Nah, only to people who screw with a parasitic jewel placed on the skin without a Key Crest in Tethe'Alla/Sylvarant. Thank you so much, Malnosso! Presea glances at the person as he approaches and watches him carefully, her pace slowing. Don't get too close, that axe looks mighty nasty to be on the receiving end of.]

[It's not exactly polite, and she said she was fine, but he'll ask anyway. Something is... off about her.]

Is that normal for your body?

[She glances down to her shoulder, then back to the man she was speaking to.]

...No. Abnormality. Bodily functions performing to one hundred percent. ...No inward threat detected thus far. Spread minimal. Rate unknwn. ...Slow.

[She spotted Presea heading out into the woods, but something was odd. She'll follow her, and when Presea settles in to start chop-a-chop, Martel approaches, stopping a polite distance away.]

Good afternoon, Presea. [Crystallization: noted. Her mouth presses together for a moment in disapproval. She had the same, once upon a time.

[Presea hears Martel following even before she speaks, and looks up rather blandly when the woman does, nodding to the Martel's words but not saying anything herself.

Presea doesn't cut anything yet, just pressing her palm against a tree trunk and looking up at it. It's not sacred wood, so the little woodsman will lumber through the forest to find the large, towering trees she cuts for the kingdom in Meltokio.]

[Well that was... oddly unproductive.

She'll follow a bit more, trying a new tactic.] How are you feeling? I hope Kratos took good care of you.

[Try all you want, woman, it won't get you too far with this one. The little pigtailed girl wanders through the woods, looking left and right, seemingly ignoring Martel. But, after a pause and a glance over her shoulder--]

...Functions operating to maximum strength. Housework accounted for. Job...must be completed. [Though it's obviously becoming clear to her there's no sacred wood here.]
