yayyy welcome back! i was wondering about you.
i still say timothy dalton is the best rochester... okay, so i haven't exactly seen this new one you're talking about. it's on the to do list. but really, can it be better? isn't toby stephens the son of maggie smith or something? i dunno i heard that. this is long and rambling. i am sorry.

Yes, Toby Stephens IS Maggie Smith's son, and in my opinion he is the BEST best best Mr Rochester. But I can't get over the stigma of Timothy Dalton being the worst James Bond. He was fantastic as Rochester too, though. Toby just improved on it a bit. Ruth Wilson's Jane is definitely quite a bit better than Zelah Clarke. She nails the character without even having much dialogue. Youtube actually has all the episodes. The track is a bit off, but you get the idea.
