Greetings all! Hope everyone`s Xmas was good.

Christmas Eve was especially nice and I can say that I am now taken without a doubt. Kaori had the last few days off so we went to Ueno to check out the Dali exhibit they had at a museum there. The museum was located a minute away from the station in Ueno Park. Ueno Park is actually home to several museums and a zoo. The exhibit was pretty good except for the fact there was a 30 minute wait to get into the museum and once inside it seemed like a subway train. The pieces were from all different times of Dali`s life but the amount of people crammed inside the museum took away from the beauty of the pieces.

After the museum we took dinner at a trainstation restruant themed after an English pub. It was pretty tasty food and nice atmosphere. From there we headed into Ginza which is a sort of Beverly Hills of Japan. Expensive boutiques and cheery atmosphere. Did some window shopping and wishful thinking.

Since it was Christmas Eve we talked about what we were thinking about getting each other for Christmas. I told her that intially I wanted to get her a digital camera but figured she already had one so I nixed that idea. She laughed about that and said she was actually looking to buy one soon because the one she had was a bit old. In the essence of perfect timing we passed by a camera shop having a sale on Sony 6 megapixel Cybershots. Went inside and bought her the camera and she was happy to say the least.

After getting home that night we exchanged Christmas presents and was I damn glad that I bought her the camera. Her Christmas present for me was a 2 day 1 night stay in Kyoto. It is the most thoughtful gift I`ve ever gotten. We`re leaving on the 28th and I am really looking forward to it. A trip within a trip hahaha.

Christmas Day was pretty much a lazy day. We spent the morning lounging around the home and watching movies. For lunch we went to a rotating sushi place right by her house. The place was great and only one dollar/plate so we feasted on 22 plates and 2 jawan-mushis between us. Later that night we hit a bathhouse and I can truly say that this is one of the places I missed the most.

Yesterday was also another lazy day. She lives right by a cost-co so we went there for a pizza lunch and then I hung out at a cafe as she got her haircut afterwards. That night we talked some more and I`m actually going to meet her parents on New Years. I`m going to be the first guy that she has ever introduced to her parents so I`m pretty nervous but excited. I have photos uploaded on my Flickr with descriptions so if any of you are interested that`s where they`ll be. Have a safe New Years!
