Roger nearly bounces up the steps, with a massive smile on his face and a strange guitar-shaped case on his back. It could be leather. He pulls Mark into a strangling hug.
It is quite possible Roger has never looked this happy in his life.
"VIRGIN, Mark, VIRGIN. VIRGIN. RECORDS." He lets go and flies into the flat. "LOOK at this. LOOK what they BOUGHT ME." Roger slings the case off his back and unzips it, pulling out a brand-spanking-new Fender Stratocaster. "This is a two and a half grand guitar! I have a job, Mark. I HAVE A JOB."
