Jackson spent his first ever experience in the Danger Room trying to decide how to take it apart. Or at least how to take off a panel just to see the inside of the computer system running everything. (Because, being perfectly honest, it's totally sweet.) Afterward, in an effort not to get himself in trouble with his gracious hosts, Jackson asks ( Read more... )

Jono didn't really sleep much at nights. Not unless there was a good reason to stay in bed. And with Jackson off training in the Danger Room, there just wasn't a good reason.

However, knowing his boyfriend's metabolism -- that of a normal teenage boy -- he headed up to the kitchen to wait, knowing that Jackson would eventually make his way there. Tonight he took a guitar with him, so Jackson's greeted by the sound of Jono tooling around quietly on the strings, the faintest brush of his mind bringing the knowledge that Jono's singing to himself.

Jackson hears the guitar before the faint psychic brush indicative of Jono's singing. It's obvious, of course, once he makes it to the kitchen and he lingers in the doorway, leaning and just listening. Eventually, he steps into the kitchen and deposits his gym bag gently on the floor by the table, settling down into a chair near Jono. He doesn't say anything, per se, in the interest of not interrupting, but his appreciation is obvious, telepathically speaking. He loves Jono's singing.

Jono glances up when he 'hears' Jackson enter the room, but he doesn't stop playing. More to the point, he doesn't stop singing, which he normally would. Nobody but Jackson really gets to hear him sing outside of class.

Finally the song winds down and Jono places his hands to the strings to still them before looking up properly. Hullo, mush. Good work out?

Oh, Jackson is simply mesmerized by the time the song ends and Jono stills the guitar strings. He grins a lopsided little grin, leaning back in his chair comfortably. "Hey, you," Jackson greets. "It was pretty good. I think I'm in love with that computer downstairs, though." That's just forewarning, Jono.
