Mister Sister, what have you done?

Apr 28, 2009 00:26

It seemed that we had some unresolved inhibitions that needed to be settled/conquered in the past few weeks. In respects to this (as well as my impatience when uncontrollable emotional matters arise) it was decided: The Venture family and Brock would officially meet up.

Yes, that means we actually spoke to Brock in the flesh after weeks of computer- ( Read more... )

Sloughing of--Oh, Jesus, Doc, don't even SUGGEST any of us are going to. Can't say it. Just NO.

Not all of us are used to weird shit happening to us PHYSICALLY, Doc. Beating up mummies, chasing off ghosts, giant lasers pointed at my head, sure. But this weird shit actually . . . changing . . . I just. Really really want to punch something.

...
If, uh, you found a way to fix it. That'd be . . . awesome.

[lock to Doc]
Actually, I have a favor to ask that I probably shouldn't, but, uh, hotel I was staying at is kicking me out for, well, literally destroyin' the place and throwing a night stand at a maid and . . . stuff. And--uh, can I . . . crash there for a bit?

This will be a good experience for you then. It's never too late to learn a little empathy.

[Lock to Brock]
... So long as you've paid your damages to the hotel, I'll consider. The situation is tender, I understand, I just can't help but feel like I'm being used as a nest egg for your unresolved tantrum or something.

So you thinking I was turned into a girl to teach me a lesson about feel sorry for all the times you super scienced yourself into something? I didn't even DO anything to get this, I was just . . . at a get-together! I didn't even get DRUNK or do anything bad that night for God's sake.

[lock]
Yeah, yeah, was paid. Most of my cash gone now. Gave 'em extra for the maid, felt pretty bad about that. She was, like, 60 years old. Pretty spry, though, dodged quick.

I'm not gonna . . . break anything at the compound. I could go elsewhere, but, I dunno. I just wanna go back there for awhile.

'Less you did something to my room already.

Karma, Brock. Karma.

[Lock]
No, no. Your room is the same as it's ever been; I haven't touched it since you left aside from the occasional vacuuming. I would have washed your sheets and bedspread, but I don't trust handling them without gloves, to be honest.

I'll be sure to toss them in a load before you come over, if you'd like... But ONLY because I feel sorry for you.

Oh yeah, it's easy for you to be all scientific about it now, but I'd bet any amount of money that if you got changed, you'd be freaking out about it more than all of us put together.

I think developing into a larvae turned pupa is a tad more chaotic than having ovaries. The fact that you're still human should be a lot more comforting than interspecies mutation.

Though neither are methodical, that's for certain.

Sooo since yer a science guy... maybe you and Dok should get together and figure out how to fix us.

I don't recall agreeing to "fix" anything let alone try to. And if you're talking about that Dr. Jekyll-Vampire-Splice-O German fellow, I think I'll pass until the situation becomes dire.

I say we agree to consider worst case scenarios just to be safe. There are risks when dabbling in super science, you know. It's better to be what you are now than a mutant.

Please; unless I use profanities to describe your "lover", I doubt there's need for foe-macho death threats.

Honestly.

Talking about it that way isn't going to scare anyone at all.
