Lee might have slept more longer and more soundly than Martha did, but that wasn't saying much. Lee still had his sleepless nights every once in a while, occupied by dreams about ejecting from the Blackbird, or the Olympic Carrier.

Tonight, however, he'd been in the middle of a dreamless, uninterrupted sleep. There was no reason for him to wake up just then, but he had anyway. To Martha staring at him. Lee blinked twice as he looked over at her, not bothering to turn onto his side from where he'd been sleeping on his back.

"What?" He asked, drowsily, but not at all annoyed.

Martha had the grace to be abashed at being caught, and ducked her head with a slight chuckle. "Nothing," she insisted as she peeked back up at Lee. "Just looking." She leaned in and kissed against the curve of his jaw. "You can't blame me. The looking's good."

"You know that now's the time that people generally sleep, right?" Lee asked her, waking up just enough to smirk in her direction as he shifted onto his side. He was well aware that Martha generally slept less than he did, btu that didn't mean he couldn't mention it in jest.

"Not everyone," Martha insisted, and propped herself up on her elbow again. "Being awake in the middle of the night has its benefits." She smiled and traced the curve of his collarbone with an idle finger before drawing her hand away again. "Sorry if I woke you," she added, sincere.
