As far as peeing in front of folks -- it's not uncommon in a public restroom for a guy to pee in a stall w/ the stall door open (b/c it's just as much privacy as a divider b/t urinals, if not more). However, I haven't heard of anyone doing that in private residences, let alone in front of someone they don't know. That's just freaking weird.
Oh man, there was a guy in my dorm last year who used to do that IN THE GIRLS' BATHROOM. I was pretty much ok with guys using it because it was the only one on the floor (terrible planning, there) and he lived across the hall, but man, have a little courtesy! I'd be brushing my teeth and he'd just come in and leave the stall door open and then not wash his hands. I'm still grossed out by him (I blamed all the messes on him unfairly, and then I found out he was actually the cause of most of them).
I also heard some guy say once, "I don't care what you do in private, but my mother raised me to wash my hands if someone else was in the bathroom." You don't need to flaunt it.
