Veronica was relaxing on her sofa, reading through the newspaper coverage of yesterday's inauguration. Yes, she had read all the coverage the first time she lived through it, but that didn't make it any less historic or impressive the second time around.

She had a pot of tea handy since Meg had called and asked if she could drop by.

Dressed warmly, Meg knocked on the door, feeling only slightly nervous about the news she wanted to share with Veronica.

Veronica put her newspapers down and got up to open the door.

"Hey, Meg, come on in," she said.

"Hey, Veronica," she said as she stepped in, then she took off her coat. "Chilly outside today."

"I've got a pot of tea," she said, taking Meg's coat and hanging it on the coat rack in the hall. "Go make yourself comfortable."
