I think even if it's not the best book on eating disorders ever or something, it's important because her sexuality and her publishing this might show some people you dont "need" to do this for men. Grrr, I'm bisexual and I had a gf when I went from coe/compulsive dieter/occasionally binge/purger to full-blown bulimia, yet when I got together with my boyfriend this year my mother expected me to "be recovered" as I now had found a guy and all..........
Yeah. Even if I didn't love it, I liked it for that reason. I will always want to see queer women shedding light on their mental illness and what impact their queerness and mental illness have on each other. Psychiatry in the US especially has gotten it wrong for so long, and common knowledge of EDs is usually common misconceptions of EDs.
