OK, so one of the things I love about Abbey's blog is that it gives me some ideas of where to start and what people might want to know. Her post today included what kinds of people end up in cults. There's also been some behind the scenes talk of what my upbringing was like vs. what Amy/Jordan/Andy/whoever else might be using that body told people

This fits with what experts seem to be saying: that kids who have physical or emotional trauma grow up to be people who are vulnerable to the kind of manipulation and abuse you've experienced. I hope you'll be able to share more of your story -- it's important to speak out loud, for yourself and for others. Your courage is amazing.
