You used the words "shimmering," "shattering," and "simmering," and you could've easily thrown in "shivering" if you'd wanted to. Bravo.

No, I honestly liked it a lot. Subtle wordplay rules!

It always makes me a little sad when exciting mysteries have disappointing solutions, like the cat living upstairs. Oh well! I'm glad she has a home.

I was going to ask you about that cat.
Is it totally ridiculous that my first reaction to this entry was, and I quote, 'you GO, girl!' 'cause it was. lame, I know.
I got your message, and almost did call your friend, but balked--I was having the kind of weekend where you don't feel like meeting anyone new, ever, and there was some tension between Greg and I, and I didn't think saying 'hey, I'm gonna go get wasted with this guy, wanna come?' would alleviate that. And I was working, working working all weekend long.

Lentil soup! It's the first thing I made out of my Joy of Cooking that I got for Christmas--I'd never made nor had it before, and I liked it a lot.

Maybe I should revert to writing you actual letters. for some reason, I thought a lot this weekend about the letters we used to write to each other. My favorite was the one you wrote me about the Sicilian waiter in Vegas.
