[AU] Alisimer

He'd become "Alisimer the Sleeping God" somewhere along the road, rather than what his newest friend and fellow god, Ameit, had once called him. He used to be called "The Great Tech Support In The Sky", the one who people had learned to turn to for help with everything from starting a computer to coding the very bombs that had led to their ( Read more... )

"God damnit!" This loudly snarled curse was coming from.... the kitchen? Whoever it was sounded pretty pissed. "This is getting really fucking old, City!"

Riku was having a bad day. His day was a bad like the ocean was wet. David had vanished from the City. Ocelot was MIA, too, which meant that Gabe was all out of sorts. And another person from before the city had reset had appeared. Himself, Kira, Gabe, Matt, Mello, and now Asch and Luke. He was fairly certain it was a....

A bad thing, but he needed to confirm it, which he couldn't do when he was in a mysterious house that he was afraid to try to navigate cause it looked so damn expensive. Still, he poked his head out of the kitchen and looked around, frowning. "Hello?"

Alisimer thought he recognized that voice, but he thought his mind could be playing tricks on him. "...Which god should damn it?" he asked, carefully reaching out his hand and calling the blade he had held in in life, Tatormus, to his hand. He hadn't ever used it on the mortal plane, but in the realm the gods inhabited, the blade itself made up for his lack of skill. He listened to the further tirade, standing and ready to attack if this intruder proved to be problematic. He could not detect the presence of another god, which meant it was a mortal who had arrived in what sounded like his kitchen, unless it was Thisma. Thisma was a sneaky merc bitch, the same as she had (claimed to have) been in life, and she had perfected the art of sneaking up on even her fellow gods.

Alisimer narrowed his eyes at the silver-haired intruder, his mind working. He knew this face, but it had been so long since he had thought of any mortals, thought about his mortal life... He knew he'd been dating this silver-haired person, but he couldn't remember ( ... )

Riku stopped. And stared. And after a looming silence, he reacted with what could best be described as ballistic glee.

"David!" Riku suddenly ran forward, then jumped at David with the full intent of tackling him in the most crushing hug he could manage. "Shiva's tits, I didn't think I was ever gonna see you again!" What followed could be best described as the most crushing hug Riku could manage. Clearly, a lot of what David had just said went right over Riku's head, but see if that stopped the silver-haired man from hugging him as hard as possible anyway.

Alisimer started a little, toppling over with the sheer force of the hug. It was weird to be called "David" and not "Alisimer" after this long, and a little disconcerting. A mortal knowing his name gave them power over him, and under ordinary circumstances he would have been absolutely horrified that anyone knew that. Instead, he hugged Riku back, grinning a little. "Well, I guess I can say the same. It's been over five thousand years for me, Riku," he offered. "Minus most of them because I've only been awake for two-hundred fifty of them, but..." It was still a damned long time not to see someone. He'd mostly written off the chance of seeing any of the mortals he'd known, but...

Well, hell, the City loved to throw monkey wrenches into assumptions like that, didn't it?
