[This is David in his usual state of being, sprawled out somewhere, practically comatose, with a laptop.]

Riku was looking for something.

A magazine, to be precise. Not that he couldn't get the magazine anywhere else, but he had put notes in this one, and he wanted them back. It was nowhere in his room, so Riku's next task was to tear apart the living room. He hadn't meant to move David's hand from his laptop, but when Riku knelt down to lift up the couch he was sleeping on, the other teen's hand just kind of.... slipped off.

Unaware that he had just trapped David somewhere unpleasant, Riku continued his search grumbling quietly to himself.

It was at this point that David's laptop started making an absolutely foul wailing, not unlike an emergency siren. David himself was in a panic, trapped inside his laptop until his body was once again in contact with something electronic in nature.

Which it currently was not.

Which was prompting the wailing. David hated the feeling of being trapped in a machine- it was only then that David realized what a very fine thread held him to his body, and how easy it was to destroy it, because of how he had learned to work with his computers and magic.

There was a bright red message splashed across the monitor, which was otherwise black, demanding that David's hand be put back in its proper place on the computer. It appalled David to think he was demanding this from another male-

-but it wasn't like he had much of a choice at this point. He'd just have to run away very fast to avoid the fallout he knew would come.

Riku jumped and nearly fell over, staggering sideways before he managed to catch his balance and whirl around. He stared the laptop and hesitantly edged closer, then blinked at the message on the screen. He blinked at the message and blinked at David, and realization quickly dawned. When it did, Riku all but scrambled to put David's hand back on his laptop, and then stood back to see what would happen.

David snapped awake almost at once, entire body shaking hard. He didn't even bother to gather up his laptop- he could always order the parts to make a new one, if Riku did anything to it- and bolted as fast as he could, given how hard he was shaking.

He'd just snapped at another guy. In his world, that meant that painful doom was swiftly on its heels. His brothers had started that lovely misconception, and Far North had seemed almost determined to further it. David locked himself in the nearest bathroom, curling up in the bathtub and watching the door. He wasn't even disturbed by the fact that he had rather abruptly managed to cut the power to Kira's entire house, in his panic.

Just as long as Riku didn't go through the door, he was fine. He was fine. He had to be fine.
