Room 424, Friday

Aug 29, 2009 00:42

Wendy's side of the room was packed up, she'd made sure certain photos would be delivered to Edmund when he got back, and sent anything that wouldn't fit in the car on ahead. She wasn't sure how exactly she'd explain acquiring as much stuff as she did while on a "short retreat in Nepal", but she'd manage.

[Wendy's going awaaaaaaaaaay. Open.]

"I don't like this week," Ben commented from his side of the room.

"I hear you there," Wendy said, looking over to Ben. "If it helps, think of it not as losing a roommate, but gaining uninterrupted privacy."

"Plus I expect you to visit if you're ever in my neck of the woods."

"Given the way things work around here, I'll go to the picnic tomorrow and end up rooming the next three years with a 4 meter tall tree named Larry," Ben said with a tiny smile.

"But chances are his bark'll be worse than his bite," Wendy said, because if any situation called for a bad pun...

"Yo, Wendy Watson. You outta here, huh?" Katchoo asked from the doorway. Geez. She'd actually gone out of her way to say goodbye to two people in two days. She must be getting soft or something. Crap.

"Hey, Chewie. Yeah," Wendy replied. "I could say I was headed to less weird pastures, but that would be a lie."

"Funny. Didn't figure you for a wacky-world type," Katchoo remarked. "Huh. You lookin' forward to getting back to that or what?"

Wendy shrugged. "Most people in my world don't picture it for a wacky-world. Even after they get attacked by the hentai tentacle monsters, or the trout zombies," she said. "But at least there's no gremlins there." That she knew of.

"There are some things I'm looking forward to more than others," Wendy admitted. "I've seen my boyfriend exactly once since I got here. Though he did end up in the pond with Edmund Pevensie then, so that was a bonus."

Robin had totally failed as Wendy's big brother, but he wanted to at least try to make up for it a little bit.

Hence the soft knock at her door.

"It's open," Wendy called out.

Robin hopped up, turned the knob, and came in. "Hi Wendy." he said, a little shyly.

"Hey, Robin," Wendy replied, smiling at him.
