I felt exactly the same way 5 days ago! I just turned 18 and I don't smoke, but I was desperate to do something besides register to vote to celebrate this date, so I bought a pack. They didn't card me and it was so hugely disappointing. (I don't look particularly legal yet, either, so it was a little baffling.) I tried to convince her I was actually acting as part of a sting, as payback, but she didn't believe that. No justice in this world.
I'm really into saying hi to people in the NYU community that are also transferring (I'll be a sophmore), so..hi! I'm Kristen

I went to adelphi university for a year, on long island. have you had orientation? I went in july and met many distinctly unlikeable girls from long island. the many transferring politics majors I met, on the other hand, were all supremely awesome people! of course. maybe I will see you at welcome week. it'll be interesting to meet people in person that you first said hi to on facebook. or rather I am hoping it will be interesting and not weird.

No, I'm from Oregon, so I wasn't able to make it out for the earlier orientation sessions. I hear they want us to take some tests; how were they?
