At first, Leonard had found himself missing the Enterprise every so often. The first week or so of adjusting to life back in the Bay Area was weird, to say the least. But as time wore on and him and Jim started to settle more and more into the home they had chosen together, Leonard began to find the ship a mere fond memory, maybe one to share with

Starfleet, the beginning week, had tried to get him to reconsider. Saying how he'd of been better on the ship rather then teaching. Truth was, he missed space. Hell, he even missed his precious ship, but Bones was his life now. Training young cadets was his life... as was this dinky little town. So needless to say, he'd turned them down countless times.

They'd tried again today, he'd turned them down again. Though he'd gotten to the point where he didn't bring it up. Hearing Bones come in, he gives a slight chuckle. "Good, glad you're home. Dinner's gettin' ready to be put on." Even if it had taken him a bit to teach himself how to cook. After all, no replicators here. Just good ol' fashioned on the stove cooking.

Sneaking into the kitchen, following that voice he loves to hear, Leonard wraps his arms around Jim from behind before Jim acknowldges his partner's that close.

"So the food's preparin' itself?" he asked, kissing Jim's neck softly.

Jim presses back against his lover's body and gives a slight chuckle, shaking his head. That was a rather funny joke though. Especially with what he'd been doing lately, just hadn't told Bones.

"No, go take a shower and get cleaned up. Dinner will be done by the time you get out."

"Sneaky take-out delivery, then?" Leonard laughed quietly, kissing Jim's neck a few more times before letting go, heading out of the kitchen. "I won't be long."

Jim gives a slight chuckle to that and smirks, "Going to show me how much?"

"Why? Do ya need to be shown?"

"I don't need anything but you. Even if you are a pain my ass." Though that last bit is teasing.

"Well I know that," Leonard said with a laugh, standing to clear the table. "But how d'ya want me?"
