Proposition 8

Apparently Proposition 8 is passing. This is unbelievably sad. How does it hurt marriage to allow two men or women to get married? How does that hurt you? How dare you say that being the only one to be able to marry is so important and you can't allow two people who love each other to get married because they happen to be the same gender

8 passed because the yes on 8 campaign said things like:

-if 8 doesn't pass, it will be illegal for churches to disapprove of homosexuality
-if 8 doesn't pass, churches that refuse to marry gay couples will lose tax-exempt status
-if 8 doesn't pass, schools will be forced to teach students about how gay sex works

also mormons, those timeless defenders of "traditional marriage"
