I actually know of people who've said things along the lines of "Well, if I get pregnant, I'll just get an abortion so it's not a big deal." And I know someone personally who's had 4 because she refuses to be careful and finds it easier to just take care of it that way apparently.

the people who have said "Well, if I get pregnant, I'll just get an abortion so it's not a big deal" - have they ever been pregnant?? Have they ever actually had an abortion or been anywhere NEAR an abortion clinic?

It's an easy thing to say... it's a harder thing to do.

I've been pregnant several times. I've had two children - I've had 2 abortions. I will not have another one because I hated having the two that I did.

Also what does "refuses to be careful" mean, are you sure she's not being careful?? 3/4 of my pregnancies occured on some form of birth control.

Excuse me. Don't speak to me like I don't mean what I typed. Out of the people who have said "well if I get pregnant I'll just get an abortion", Yes, some of them have had them before. And she REFUSES to be careful. As in, no condoms, no birth control, just pull it on out and hope for the best. Unless you count that as a form of birth control, then yeah, I'm sure she's not being careful.

9. When people question my affection for Jamie based on our not-married state.

Usually the people who do this are the ones who are in unhappy relationships themselves!

yes I totally agree.
I think part of the reason it bugs me so much is because i WANT to get married, but we have a few trust issues to iron out.

omigoodness.

i LOVE vnv. have now seen them 7 times. And want MORE. This might sound weird, but the energy they put out during the show, i feel like the crowd is one big fierce entity. I feel like they could start a revolution with the energy that they provoke. That sounds bizarre, but do you know wht i mean/ i think you do. :)

and i am glad Ronan called out those dipshits, even if it did mean the encore wasn't finished (sorry that you missed out on the good times with him though. that bites). And yeah, they are always really cool, drinking with the fans and whatnot. Once when i got to talking to Ronan i told him about how my friend introduced me to their music years ago and ronan asked if he was there. i said no because he lives in another state. And Ronan CALLED HIM ON MY CELL (my friend) to say "hi" and thank him for being a fan. THey talked for a good 5 minutes. My friend just about shitted bricks (VNV are his GODS). it was awesome. I love the down-to-earth aspect that ronan has to him.

oops! on a funny side note, once i wore really uncomfy shoes all day before a VNV gig, and couldn't go home to change. So i dropped by kmart and got bunny slippers. rocked. no one even noticed. Ya definitely need comfy shoes for all that dancing! :)

OMG that is sooooo freaking awesome about Ronan calling your friend!!

And I do totally understand that feeling. The energy at the gig in sydney almost made it feel like a big family gathering. It was amazing.

it's neat that you went to one that had only 150 people. all the shows i have seen here in New york have had at least 800. Not huge or anything but not so intimate. I have seen vids of them playing in Germany in AIRPLANE HANGARS that are huge! i would love to feel that energy of all those people.

on an off note, i saw electric Hellfire Club at a show that only had 20 or so people. it was so fun because it was so intimate.
