[Ben woke. Yes, he thought to himself, the painfully awkward young man he'd met probably would enjoy being unseen. But it wasn't something Ben would want. Not for long.]
[Space... He missed it. He missed travel, he realized. Here, he was doing hardly anything except training himself and working. There should be more.]
[But there was nothing he could do about that now.]
[There is something... almost erotic about being able to see others when they can't see you, Fred decided, opening her eyes. Something powerful.
She feels conflicted about seeing Veda with a robotic eye, both guilty (wasn't she the one who cut him open, even if it wasn't her herself?) and relieved he found a replacement. Although... she frowns. It was a dream. Doubtless Veda had no such eye... especially when you consider that 00 was also 'revealed' to be a robot. While Fred had suspected 00 was a robot briefly when they had first met, it was clear to her by this time that the younger woman was no such thing.]
Perfectly ridiculous...
[Centauri, though... Fred shifted position, determined to get more sleep, but the name of that planet... no. The sense of familiarity eluded her.
Ah, well... she would think of this more in the morning.]
