Yeah, I googled "amazon mp3 ubuntu lucid 64" or something like that and found a fairly straightforward walkthrough. Too lazy to find it again. But yeah, it's gay that you have to do anything.
what I find most confusing and impressive is that the Amazon Linux devs manage to consistently stay one year behind the curve. Right now they support Ubuntu 9.04. Six months ago it was 8.10. Six months before that it was 8.04. They ARE making progress, though. Now it's only boost that has explicitly defined dependencies. It used to be the same with GTK/Gnome, but now those are >=$VERSION.
Anyway, Banshee? I'll have to give that a try. When I first saw that, I was bitching to myself about all the dependencies it would pull in, but then I remembered I wouldn't be doing any of that manually.
I know nothing about most of this post except I had a bunch of friends who worked on that shoot. I guess it was hell, but Michael Cera I pretty nice actually. End.
