I have someone back home I would love to bring here ... but this boat is sort of some kind of trap. If I could be completely sure the 'Golden Shore' was safe, then I would do it.

Yes, I suppose it is a bit selfish to want to bring someone here when we don't know if we'll even live to see the Golden Shore. Still, I can't help but think that this place is better for my friend and I than home.
