not "gay".. "gays" as in "rights for gays still pending"
it's politically incorrect and pretty rude if you say "blacks" or "mexicans"...so why does the LA Times feel so inclined to use the term "gays"? To me it often undermines humanity and places a massive amount of people into a category marked with a stigma or a status.

yeah, I meant 'gays,' I had a typo sorry. Although forgive me for being ignorant, what would be the politically correct terms you just said? I believe it's the intent to demean humanity is the problem. Call me liberal (or is this more a conservative-spawned dilema?) but it doesn't seem offensive. "Fagots," and all those derogatory terms are however a different story
