[When the waters started coming in, Cissie propped her journal-thingy up in the grate between the cells to keep it as dry as possible. The video function clicks on now because she's just been flailing about. Something dragged her under and she whacked it when she used the grate to haul herself back up. Ciss-s-sie? [He coughs slightly, because. Floating aside, it's still been a while, and the water isn't draining all that quickly.]R-rub your chest. It should help a l-l-little.

[Cissie tries following his advice, though it's a little hard while trying to hold the grate.] D-does it? How-how come? [Does she really care about teh science? Not especially, but talking helps distract her from the numbing cold.]

Well, y-you've got the chest area, where all the b-b-blood goes, right? And it has to p-pass through the lungs and h-heart, so. Warm that up, and the blood warms up passing through, and it tak-kes care of the rest as it trav-v-vels through your b-body.

O-oh. [She's quiet for a minute, rubbing her chest and treading water. She is so tired. When she speaks again, her voice is small and shakier than before.] How l-long do you think we can k-k-keep this up?

[Murphy digs her nails into the grate, suspended and shivering. There's a dull voice in the back of her head--her own, thank goodness--that says if they freeze to death it'll at least be comparatively painless.

Not like she's going to say that to Cissie.]

We'll be fine. [She sounds tired and unconvincing even to her own ears.] Hang in there.

[Cissie shifts, moving her hand on the grate so that she can feel Murphy's hand, if only for a little reassurance.]

I-I know. They can't--they have to drain the water s-soon. Right?

Yes. [She renews her grip despite numb fingers. At least the coldness of the water has blunted the pain of her wounded shoulder.] Sooner or later, they've got to open the doors. We'll escape then. Try to rest when this is over--keep your strength up.

[Cissie nods, though Murphy can't see, somewhat reassured just by the contact and the sound of her voice.] Right. You too. And try to g-get warm, when the water's gone.

They f-filled the room with w-water and the lights went out, and it's really c-cold. [PAUSE] There are things in the water, Molly.

The lights are out here, too. [shudder] I'm sorry about the water. I wish I could--I hate this.

[SNAP CRACKLE POP]

I know, me too. We--we'll get out of this.

[Voice, meant to be private but silly ghosts]

Ciss-Cissie, you're going to be fine.

[Voice, oh those pesky ghosts!]

L-Leia? Are you o-okay?
