"That is absolute bullocks if you ask me." Draco threw the letter down on the table and took a swig of butterbeer.

"I know. Maybe they're mistaken?"

"Clearly not, Hermione. My family name is practically covered in blood, for Merlin's sake. 'Once a death eater, always a death eater'. It's never going to change." His fist slammed on the unsteady wooden table causing Hermione to jump.

"Do you think part of it is because we started dating?"

"You didn't receive a letter. Besides, Potter made sure that that was a liable reason for the first three warnings." He ran his hands through his hair.

Hermione knew he was right. Harry definitely didn't agree with her choosing of Draco. It was also his job as head of the Auror department to reprimand anyone for rule breaking. This was just going a little too far.

"I can't believe this. I can't believe he terminated you without giving any reason." She looked up at Draco. He wasn't looking at her, but had is head turned towards the door. His inattention gave her the feeling he wasn't telling her everything.

"I can. It makes complete sense." Without notice, he stood up and left the cafe.

"Draco!"

Taken off guard, Hermione followed after him, not sure if that's what he wanted. He took a turn and stopped in front of the entrance of Knockturn Ally. It took a minute or two for her to realize he wasn't going to speak.

"You...you want to end it?" She spoke with a blank expression.

Draco's eyes were cold. "You shouldn't be with me, Hermione. I'm never going to be anything but what my past has made me to be. I'm an enemy. I'll never be deserving of you. My life will never be normal and I..."

Draco was silenced by the sudden touch of Hermione's lips to his. After a few minutes, she stopped and touched her forehead with his.

"You're very much deserving of me, Draco Malfoy. If I wasn't sure of this, I would have given up by now." She looked into his eyes, hoping they would warm up to her soft gaze.

Draco pulled away, "I wish I could tell you what they need me to..."

"I love you."

Hermione wrapped her arms around his rugged frame and nuzzled into his chest. Without second guessing, he hugged her back.

"I know."

Draco let go of Hermione's small frame, walked swiftly down Kockturn Ally, and turned out of sight.

Hermione wished she would have let him tell her as he walked out of her life for good.
