[Background] Anew is a very mysterious person, with her past completely unknown. Her first real memories start from when Wang Liu Mei scouted her to join the revived Celestial Being, a paramilitary group now fighting against the Earth Sphere Federation’s elite military peacekeeping force, the A-Laws.
From working on the organisation’s asteroid base Krung Threp (Presumably as a mechanic, as she seems close to Ian Vashti and his family), Anew joined the crew of the Ptolemaios II as the resident ship’s pilot and doctor. It was during this time that she met Lyle Dylandy. Having never known his brother like the other members had, she grew close to him almost straight away. She even went as far as seeking him out when they were stranded on Earth, catching him communicating secretly with Kataron in the process.
Anew was the first member of the crew to realise that the enemy seemed to be able to always find the location of the Ptolemaios, no matter how hard they tried to hide. Almost tragically, she doesn’t realise that this is due to her. Anew is prone to random moments of spacing out, after which the enemy always seem to show up.
The reason for this is due to her past. Even though she has no memories of it, Anew is actually an Innovator. Like all of their kind, this means that she shares her DNA with her genetic twin, Revive Revival. The other Innovators suppressed her memories so that she could act as a sleeper agent inside Celestial Being, with the others using quantum brain waves to pinpoint her position, and therefore, the position of the Ptolemaios.
With Anew and the rest of the crew blissfully unaware of this fact, they have been continuing to fight against the A-Laws and the Innovators. Meanwhile, Anew has developed a romantic relationship with Lyle, and despite being a little shy about it (flushing with embarrassment when he declares his love for her in front of the entire bridge crew), she really does love him.
[Personality] Anew comes off at first as being a quiet, shy and polite individual. Although she’s quite knowledgeable on certain areas, she often stays quiet unless her opinion is needed, at which point she states her point with surprising confidence. Her nervousness can sometimes get the better of her in a situation, but when she’s working, she’s nothing but professional.
She’s a very observant and occasionally curious person, although thanks to her shyness, she only ever really expresses her observations or thoughts to the people that she feels closest to. Her shyness also makes her easily flustered or embarrassed.
She’s very self-conscious about the fact that she can’t remember anything about her life before joining Celestial Being, to the point where she’ll try (and fail) to dodge any questions that are asked to her about them.
Anew also has a slightly darker side to her personality; however it’s uncertain whether this is really a part of her or merely a side-effect of when she is under the influence of the other Innovators, as it’s only evident when they are interfering with her mind. In this state, Anew acts cold, arrogant, logical, and even ruthless, a stark contrast from her usually warm and gentle self.
[Specialties/Abilities] Anew is highly skilled in astrophysics, mobile suit engineering and regenerative medicine. On top of this, she is also a good cook and a competent pilot.
As an Innovator, Anew’s aging processes are suppressed, making it impossible for her to die of old age. It’s likely that, were she aware of it, Anew could make use of quantum brainwaves and use them to communicate with her genetic twin Revive. In the same way, if she were able to control the ability, she would also be able to connect to the supercomputer Veda.
