So I have pretty much 90% decided that I am going to move out of my place and move into a basement suite in Coquitlam. I know the owner and it is very nice, in a quiet neighborhood and has transit almost right out front. Also within about 5 minutes distance to Coquitlam Centre ( Read more... )

I swear it is like living with high school kids, I finish a long day at work and don't want to deal with it, its just stupid.

I am moving into a place on Mariner Drive, not sure if you know where that is, its at the very end of Como Rd. It is really nice, yard and a forest in the back. I am looking forward to reducing my stress levels from all the shit at my existing place.

Its funny how true it is, you don't really know someone till ya live with them :-)

i will never, ever have roommates ever again, after my last experience. so i hear ya. paying a bit more to live alone sucks financially, but it's done wonders for my sanity.

and coquitlam isn't so bad. i don't go out there very often anymore. my only real complaint about coquitlam is that the transit out there sucks. i don't have a car, and i just don't have it in me to wait an hour for a bus in the evenings.

good luck with the new place!

Ugh, I had a roommate once and swore off them forever after that.

But this leaving the North Shore thing? There are plenty of basement suites around you can live in for good prices. It's funny though, I moved out of North Van to live in Coquitlam with my brother for a year. Hated every day of it...you'll be back ;-)

It should only be for a few months, enjoy living somewhere peaceful and normal for a bit and then probably move back to North Vancouver, save up some cash and get something nice.

I hear ya on the roomate thing, when I move out after this next place it will be allllllllll mine :-)

Sorry to hear that. Is it accessible to your workplace?
I hope things work out.

It is actually a lot more convenient for getting to work and I am really looking forward to a shorter commute, that and not coming home to a gong show every single day of the week :-)

Leaving the North Shore sucks... trust me. :[ I just left in the spring and I miss it so bad. Sure, the rent is cheaper, but every day I look out at the mountains and think, "Damn... why did I leave again?"

I know, I am sad about leaving but I can't stay in this place any longer without losing my mind, I have no space, its always busy with people, no privacy. The new pad is in a nice place, quiet and peaceful, its what I need for a few months and then I can either move back to North Van or Downtown, will just see how it goes I guess...

Just finished telling my good buddy/roomate about leaving, I feel bad but I know I have to get out of here, oh well the right decisions are usually the hard ones I guess...

Now the fun part, PACKING, grrrrrrrr...haha.
