So I had a call yesterday while I was out on the road from my friend at the place I used to live and he said that Cheech, my Chinchilla was dead. Apparently the person I had left in charge of feeding him until I could pick him up and move him here to my new place decided that starving a poor innocent animal was a good way to get back at the ( Read more... )

OMG!
I would be so pissed off.

Hell, if you had the money, I'd take him to court, make him pay you for a new chinchilla and suffering that Cheech had to go through.
I'd call the cops and see if there is anything you can do in order of pressing charges. Animal cruelty comes to mind.

My question though is this:
How was the cage?
Was it clean?
If so, then he took the time to clean it, but not to feed him.

He wasn't cleaning the cage, he had to have been trying to kill him because I mean all he had to do was throw food in the cage and Cheech would have eaten it. I mean it was right at the end of his bed, not exactly a lot of effort needed to feed the poor guy.

Contact the police dept. or the local animal shelter, and find out if you can press charges. That is cruelty to animals. And if any case deserved to be seen, that is it.

Problem is I don't know anything about him but his first name and since they kicked him out they have no idea where he is. I have people looking for him though...!

Everything is great. I'm 20 weeks (halfway there!! only 20 more to go). We found out we're having a boy a few days ago. :)

I have no idea how someone could be that sick. The whole thing just doesn't make any sense.

not much is new, I had been pretty busy last week. I was downtown taking care of someone's cat while they were out of town. It was nice cuz I got together with a few old pals that I hadn't seen in a while.

We totally need to do something one day! We always say that and it never happens :P

My life has been one constant stream of complicated stupidity, god it feels like I have been here one day and it is going on a month and a half...! But ya we need to hook up soon, what day is good for you next week?
