Tex woke up with a soft moan. Her head was still throbbing and every inch of her body was aching, especially the arm that O'Malley had stopped a chimney with. She carefully sat up and reached for her temple, the blood had dried up by now but it still stung. She closed her eyes, remembering exactly what had happened yesterday and the weeks before.

With a grunt, she pushed up from the bed but nausea overwhelmed her and she sat right back down.

The sound, faint though it was, pulled Zhaan from her meditations. She considered as she unbent and stood up from the floor in front of her bed. Then she reached for her robe, fastening the tie around her a moment later.

Naked delvian was probably not the first thing Tex wanted to see in the morning.

Stepping into the corridor, she moved to the door and looked in, "Good morning. I trust you slept well?"

Zhaan could feel her own curiosity eating away to know what had happened, but now there was more light, she could see the dried blood on Tex's temple. She tsked. "If you keep injuring yourself, you'll do permanent damage."
