...got a package from the mayor. Opened it. Touched the knife.

[Panting, head throbbing with pain... but she doesn't feel lightheaded, like from blood loss.][In the name of science, she lifts the bloodied rag from her face... and the wound does not gush forth like an open hydrant. She wipes at it though since it's still dripping]
