Actual conversation from work this week:

Heather: They are going to have to remove [her husband]'s gall bladder. They are just going to do it lathroscopically.

Me: Lycanthropically!

Heather: ...What?

Me: They are going to have a werewolf remove it?!

I wrote out my writing schedule this morning. Here's what I came up with ( Read more... )

You are way too hard on yourself when it comes to your writing. I like your schedule, but hopefully it doesn't make writing come off as a chore. Good luck.

Oh you, always making jokes out of serious things. :P

i read you, AND i was not bored. you should give me a prize or something. cuz.... ah whatever.

really amazing art and writing does that to me, too. i flounder in self-doubt and criticism until i have sapped the joy right out of everything. horribly depressing. i don't know how one is supposed to halt such futilic (ok, i knew that was made up. just testing.) endeavors.

glad you banged out a schedule. sometimes it's the procrastination that really kills it all. it gives too much time for our brains to reason out why we shouldn't even bother.

I liked the entry. I feel the same way... although I LOVE my ideas and have no ambition to actually carry them out, even though I daydream about the characters :/

The last few years, this has how I've been. I think about them all the time, but don't WRITE them.

I spent the entirety of my teenage years writing for fun, and these last few years, it's become this CHORE that requires such physical effort on my part.

Me, too...I wonder if it had to do with the end of my college years as well. Hrm...

Good luck with it!!!
