Oh my. I'm so sorry that you had to go through all of that with your mother, and that you still have to deal with this now. I agree with you, she definitely doesn't have a leg to stand on and more than that... it would probably DEFINITELY be best if you ignored her. Definitely don't pay out any money either, she's being ridiculous. She realizes *a year and a half later* that she wants your money? Ugh. Some people are just despicable (and as I typed that, I immediately thought of daffy duck).

It seems more likely that this woman is just looking for an easy way to score some money. She probably figures she can scare you into forking the money over without asking questions with a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo.

Really sorry to hear about your history with your mom. :/ I applaud you though for going forward with your own life, and making something of it. :)

Well, I'm trying. It's why I have rough edges about friends drinking or anything, but...I try not to be a jerk. It just all seems like such a nightmare to me.
