It hadn't taken a genius to know something was really wrong with her friend and roomie. So, when Lilly got back from class and saw Claire flopped on her bed looking up at the ceiling, she flopped down next to her.

"Okay, I didn't pry last night, but the 24 hours of 'Lilly Prying Reprieve' is up. What's going on, Claire?"

"Sam and I broke up," Claire sighed.

Lilly blinked. "Run that by me again? I thought I heard you say that you and Sam broke up."
