i saw The Passion sunday afternoon. and i dont think im ever going to be the same. i left the movie feeling so completely low and unworthy. i am so ungrateful. i saw throughout the movie what Jesus did for us, how much suffering, pain, and agony he went through, for US. for people who are so unworthy of what he did for us. at one point i just

I totally felt horrible. I thought about Mary's position the most, I think. I thought about how I could never sit back and watch my son sacrifice himself for such an ungrateful and condemning nation. I could never see my son be beaten to a pulp, rise up, and continue to carry the tree onto which he was nailed. As Christians, however, we are not asked to understand any of it...neither God nor Jesus ask us to comprehend what was done and what they continue to do for us today. All He asks of us is to believe it and to follow Him because he did it. God knows that no human mind can comprehend such a sacrifice. All we are asked to do is believe and model ourselves after it...to keep that ultimate sacrifice in our minds when we endeavour life.
