You had a date. A time. A place to be. But somehow all of that slipped out of your grasp as you became busy. School, work, something else entirely? Whatever it was, the date you'd scheduled with Atem came and went a few fair hours ago. You feel terrible. You wonder if he's mad. And you decide to go try and see if you can fix it.
IT'S SIMPLE. )

Scheduling this...whatever it was certainly not a date had been a bad idea from the start. Kaiba had thought so before, when he had made the appointment, and doubly felt it now as he stared down at his sleeping rival. Sure, he had noticed the other come into the office earlier, and might have even heard him say something about this. But it had all fallen to the side as he was pulled into some supply emergency that had taken almost all night to resolve. Atem had of course been long gone by then. Kaiba had had to return home to find him again.

With a weary sigh, Kaiba leaned forward to try to scoop Atem into his arms without waking him up. He could at least get his rival into bed, for all that time he had wasted waiting on him.

Atem might not even have been mad. ...okay, he was probably mad the first two hours. Not mad enough to call and remind Kaiba- or maybe that was extremely mad. Letting the brunet wander in announced to a trap of anger. Yes. Maybe. But the longer he had to wait the more he realized Seto wasn't going to show up, and something at work must have been very important.

Work was always important, and as quick as the anger came it had faded. If Seto could have been there he would have. The CEO at least honored his promises.

Eventually he had laid his arms on the table, and his head in his arms and at that point none of it really even mattered anymore. That was until he felt someone trying to move him.

"Waiting. ...don't move.." His response was entirely incoherent as he imagined one of the maids must have been trying to get him to get away from the dining room table.

"I will do as I please," he snorted, right as he tried to pull the other man away and up the stairs anyway. It was his house. He could do as he wanted.

That voice cut right through whatever warm haze that had drifted over him in sleep. Not entirely enough to shake him completely out of it, though.

"Seto..." He was picked up without too much problem, leaning his head against the nearest warm thing, which happened to be Kaiba's shoulder. "You're late." He might have still been half-asleep.

We'll say he doesn't really know. But he suspects SOMETHING. note_atem August 31 2011, 15:35:42 UTC
Whatever food he'd perhaps called out for had gone extremely cold on the table by now. The TV wasn't even on, though there was a book in hand just off to the right side. Half-open and fallen out of place by now, though. With all the trouble going on around this place, someone coming into his home should have been enough to wake him. No one wanted to wake up dead after all.

But it didn't. And Lelouch was pretty good at sneaking. So he remained dozing off for now, breathing deeply, probably still entertaining some sleepy notion that it hasn't been that long since he closed his eyes.

It wouldn't take a lot of noise to wake him up. Lelouch might have been quiet in entering but moving things around in his apartment was enough to fire up his consciousness again, but at least not in an overly aggressive way. His eyes cracked open upon the last clinking of the dishes being put away.

Then he sat up and was able to greet Lelouch with a gaze when the other entered the room. He couldn't resist the urge to rub the sleep out of his eyes.

"...what time is it?"
