I'm reading a blog right now about two cats raising thirteen kittens, and potential adopters are apparently picking out kittens without ever meeting them, just saying "I want a black one" or "I want the tuxedo girl." Aww...they're so darn cute. My dear departed cat Faye had all black whiskers except for one white one. It was the cutest thing. She was a tortie and her white whisker popped out so much that when I sketched her it was the only whisker I would draw.

Aww, that sounds cute! Torties are so beautiful. Are black whiskers common? I don't think I've ever seen them before I got Simon.

Well, I have black tabbies now and they have black whiskers...I'm not sure how the genetic go. Hmm. I used to have a long-haired tabby who was sort of grey/black/brown and I can't remember if her whiskers were black or not.
