i think they are really neat concepts (i love shadows) but the subject is in an unappealing place in both photos.. in more detail, the first photo looks cut-off on the right side while there is too much room on the left.. also, the picture is flat and could have included more depth. i'm in love with the shadow in the second picture but its in an awkward place and shouldnt have had so much space on the right side.
