Now i thought i should post, since this is more then just some other community about how hot we are....i guess.

A lot of here like both trainspotting or fight culb, which one is the better film? Hard to compare the two in a debate but come on....there must be a winner.

Well Trainspotting is a grand film but to me it really doesn't come close to Fight Club. I mean it has such a great story line, it's just amazing to think one little right club in a basment of a bar becomes this huge terrorist organisation. It's crazy. And they the whole head fuck ending where you're just sitting there going 'what the fuck!?!'. Plus it's a lot funnier. I mean Train Spotting has it's moment's, the worst toilet in Scotland bit for example but they're nothing compared to Edward Norton beating himself up in his Boss' office and all the little lines and stuff.

Although to be fair, trainspotting has this list of actors and characters who are so realistic and perhaps loveable. and it has just this sorta edge that makes the idea of being a druggie not that bad. Fight Club could never happen, whereas Trainspotting can. The slick style to it is just, it makes me proud to be British.

Maybe thats why I don't like it as much. It's too real. Where as with FC so many amazing things happen it was great story, a great work of fiction. The harsh truths of the drug world in TS never really sat well me.

Don't get me wrong, i love the kinda quirkyness of Fight Club and how it is how i would describe an American edge but its just, Trainspotting is the kinda film, you can watch and think to yourself...its like an indie/grunge dirty film....like Human Traffic.

I love the way that every time you watch it you discover something you hadn't yet noticed and grow to like it more. There are so many memorable quotes and Edward Norton, Brad Pitt and Helena Bonham Carter all provide amazing performances. And I fucking love the way Fincher directed it.
As brilliant as Trainspotting is, I don't see it as the kind of film you can watch over and over again, whereas there is something addictive about Fight Club, persuading you to watch it religiously. It's the sort of film that changes the way you view certain aspects of life, but Trainspotting didn't have that influence on me. I think they're both great but it's hard to compare them.. still I think Fight Club is the best ♥

..and Marla Singer is just fucking fucking amazing. And hot..

Trainspotting.
Trainspotting is a work of art, featuring amazing performances from so many people. It's hilarious and disturbing at the same time, showing you the horrors of drug abuse without glorifying it, which is basically what Fight Club done with violence. It lost a lot of the impact of the book, by making violence the main focal point. I mean, they're even making a beat 'em up game of Fight Club. The story isn't about violence, but the film turns it into that so many times.
