Right, I know I really, really should be writing my essay now, but Microsoft Works (one of my favourite oxymorons) just did something so heinous that I needed to share it with the world

Type something like "...benefitsq the stronger...", finish the sentence, then go back and delete the "q". Microsoft is crap like that!

can't you just turn off the automatic word replacement option or the grammar check (depending which is doing it)? not familiar with works, i use word (which has its own little foibles)

In MS Word, if you hit "undo" straight after Word makes its mad corrections, it usually removes them - that might work in Works too? (It's made my life far less stressful since I discovered it)
