Tornado Pictures: IMPORTANT

Aug 25, 2005 13:07

My house:

Our driveway was blocked after the tornado.

They got a shot of that tree of ours on the news. In the background, you could see us driving away to go get dinner at McDonalds at like 10 PM. There was nothing else we could do, though, so you get the idea.

My dad put tarp over the whole in the garage. Unfortunately, that didn't cover all of it.

I'm not too sure what that is. It fell in our garage, though.

Don't even ask me how the smoker managed to stay.

I don't know. My mom took that. It ended up in the bed of my dad's Nissan somehow.

I don't know where that window is even from.

No idea whose roof that came from.

Those bags are filled with food from our fridge and freezer. It smells horrible. I got to bring it outside. Oh boy/joy.

Emily's House:

That window is gone, not open. And it pretty much imploded. There's glass and everything all over their living room.

Houses & Whatnot On Our Street:

Next door. They have a 1 month old baby, too.

Dennis' house. They'll probably bulldoze it.

one of the houses by the river. Yeah...you see how much was left.

The other house by the river.

Party house..which is now GONE. I just watched them pick it apart piece by piece.

House next to party house that they took down yesterday.

James' "house" and somebody's roof.

Dennis' house again. I feel so bad for him...

Next door.

Party house again...god that's really sad.

And next door again.

Around the Block:

That was Mr. Pertzborn's house...now it's just there.

That car was found turned over...you can easily see that.

Would you believe me if I told you there was once a beautiful house there?

They found a fridge. My mom made me get it in the picture of their house.

And there was a barn and house over there once.

Media and Authority:

They wouldn't let us in the neighborhood for 4 and a half hours.

Chicago ABC News.

National News Helicopters.

And there you have it.

Try looking at that everyday...except worse.
