A chilly practice

The practice targets closer to the woods were a chilly place to be this time of year. Especially as the sun quickly sank below the horizon. Why Kate was bundled up a bit in warmer if movable athletic fabrics so she wouldn't lose too much body temperature as she worked up a sweat. It's a beautiful evening out here along the tree line. He's spent a while acquainting himself with the woods and the mountains here. Scotland is not the Carpathians, but it will do nicely he thinks, for when he gets homesick.

And this beautiful creature stalking through the snow with a bow and arrow is certainly worth the effort. He holds the arrow between his fingers, idly spinning it.

He's wearing a long woolen cloak, his hair let down. It makes him look a bit like a mad Russian prince, and perhaps that is not so far from the truth.

Kate's steps were only softly crunching through the frozen underbrush, but he must have been quieter to have missed him before. She tensed as she startled slightly before recovering herself.

Her blue eyes glanced down at the arrow in his hand, "Yeah. Thanks." She then stepped forward to accept it.

"My apologies. It was not my intention to startle you," he answers, holding it out to present it to her.

She shrugged, and took the arrow from him, "It's fine. I just must have missed hearing you. Not many people over this way this time of year you know?"

She replaced it back in her quiver, and her eyes looked down toward the ground and shrubs to make sure she didn't miss any others.
