Not wanting to disturb Susan or the baby, Cho had been by a couple times with a pot of tea, or a tin of biscuits, or a slip of paper with tips on baby care she'd found in a magazine. But the most important trip of all had been the day after Susan had given birth to little Gabriel, and Cho's heart had been filled to bursting with joy at finding out his name.
She knew Michael would put up a fuss about it, especially if anyone found out it had been his middle name to begin with, but most likely he'd be secretly pleased about it. Michael was an odd little duck like that.
As she tiptoed down the hall, giddy with the knowledge that Susan and Terry's little boy had such a lovely name, she stopped in front of their suite and marveled at all the gifts that had piled up there already. There was
Luna's gifts in addition to little baskets of things and boxes stacked one on top of the other. Apparently Cho hadn't been the only one loathe to disturb Susan and little Gabe. She left a brightly wrapped box with
her gifts packed inside it along with a little note on lavender and vanilla scented pale blue paper inside a pale green envelope. It read:
Dear Susan and Terry:
Luna and I had both already begun knitting our gifts for you before either of us realised what the other had done and so they're not going to match up exactly. But the cap and blanket match each other and complement the booties and cardie that Luna made. And knowing Luna, she'd be positively aghast if they matched each other anyhow. I apologise that there isn't any purple in my gifts, as I'd been unaware of the aversion Nargles have to that colour when I knitted them.
In any case, I hope you like them and that little Gabriel gets the best use of them in his blessed little life.
Much love to the both of you (and baby too!),
Cho and Michael
Sneaking away as quickly and quietly as possible, she barely stifled a chuckle at the gifts that were magically appearing by the second some floating up the stairs, some just simply popping into existence in front of the door. It appeared that it wasn't just Susan and Terry that had been blessed by this baby, but the whole Order house, and everybody seemed determined to show it.
