[She did not wake up alone, and though this startled her it didn't panic her. No, panic did no good at all. the only reasonable thing was to learn what was going on first. She was in some sort of house, a human house, and the man in the bed was also human, though....]
Oh you're up early today! Does that mean we're going to have a special breakfast this morning?
[No, she retracted that. It was more like a tool, though she couldn't be sure, it was hard to judge.
Hard to judge....
It was like being hit in the face with ice water, she could not tell the nature of this person. She did not have an instinctive knowledge of his soul, or even of his nature. All she had was the knowledge of her experiences which told her he wasn't quite right. Probably some kind of animated tool that gained a pseudo life. A life that she had suddenly been put into for some reason. Now that she looked around more, the photographs on the wall and dresser had her in it, but looking and acting in a way she had never done before. There were children she had never seen, and locations she had never been to.
Before the strange man could say another word she left the room to explore the rest of the house, the more she saw the less she liked it. She made her way to the front door and the porch outside. The entire place was unreal, like those fictional stories humans made for entertainment.
She stood outside for quite a while feeling not at all herself. Not only were her abilities as a yama seemingly gone, but even her tools of the trade. It was enough to make her feel lost for the first time ever.]
[Phone]
[The line is open, but the other end is being quiet. There's a long pause before the sound of a woman clearing her throat can be heard.]
Excuse me, but there seems to be a bit of a situation here, and I would like some clarification. This town is called Mayfield, correct? First, I would like to know why I'm here, and why I have been placed in the mother and wife role for this household. Second, how did I come to be here? Removing me from Hell would have been impossible.... [There's a small pause followed by some muttering.] The Ten Kings would not allow for one of their judges to be removed, so who could have accomplished such a thing?
Also, I would like to know where my personal belongings are. They are important and should not be touched by anyone without the proper authority.
[There's another long pause, as if the receive is about to be put down, but instead there's a rush sound as if it's quickly being lifted again.]
I understand the likelihood of me speaking with whoever is in charge is slim, but, since it is relevant at the moment.
[She clears her throat again.]
This is a very arbitrary way to do something like this. Is the goal was to recreate some sort of fantasy life that never existed, the only way to truly achieve that would be to force compliancy to all, keeping free will in this situation would only hinder the effects. Also, if the goal was to be able to observe those with free will, why have others that are pre programed to a particular pattern? No, the execution wasn't thoughtful at all, and too mismatched. The only outcome I can see from this kind of set up is that of strife and antagonism. Those involved are far too diverse to gain any consistency from, and it seems more a sadistic game than anything. I can't agree with this, and can't support this at all. At the very least supply an orientation into the system in which we have found ourselves thrown into.
That is all.
